The Cavs limped in the Eastern Conference playoffs and there were murmurs of them possibly not making it out the East, those murmurs have proven to be great exaggerations so far.The Cavs have swept their way through the first two rounds of the post season, cementing their dominance once again. The Eastern Conference just does not boast the individual or team talent needed to dethrone a LeBron James. The small forwards that could push the 4-time MVP are out West, like Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant.
2) Celtics and Wizards:
The Cavs will face one of these two teams in the Eastern Conference Finals with a well-rested LeBron James. James and the Cavs will likely have over a week to rest before the semi-final rounds are completed. This is a luxury that many teams don’t get this time of the year, especially defending champions. But looking ahead with the Celts and Wiz, can either team push the Cavaliers? They have talented guards like Isiah Thomas and John Wall but do they have the experience to top the champs. The answer is likely no, especially when you consider how well LeBron James is playing and neither team has an elite defender to slow him down.
1) LeBron James:
James has been on a tear for these playoffs so far, his numbers and dominance have been astounding. He is averaging a demoralizing 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists per game. He is doing this while shooting a blazing 57% from the field and a unreal 49% from the three point line. He eliminated the Raptors in Game 4 with a 35 point, 9 rebound, and 6 assist performance. The only weakness in his game so far has been his free-throw shooting and he is at 71% after starting the postseason in 50% range. He seem poised for another NBA Final appearance. ms to be on a mission to return to the Finals.
