To get the full experience of a cruise you must get off the boat and experience some of the wonderful island scenery. The tours will introduce you to some popular vendors and also give you a chance to taste the local dishes. Allow your taste buds to have authentic Jamaican jerk chicken, fresh conch fritters from the coast of the Bahamas, or real tantalizing Mexican fajitas.
2) Horseback Riding:
If you are a city dweller then the idea of riding a horse could be frightening, but on vacation it's a perfect way to add a little adventure to your experience. These horse tours are usually through a safe trail, where you can experience nature and wildlife like never before.Your guides will give you a tutorial on how to ride and you will follow them through nature. Riding a horse on the Jamaican coast was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The fresh air, the green foliage, and the blue water made the tour worth every penny.
This is the excursion that adds the wonder of sight seeing with the exhilaration of an rollercoaster. Haiti by far has one of the best ziplines in the world, casting you over the clear blue ocean and landing you on a golden sandy beach. The activity is very safe, the crew provides the gloves, helmets, and other gear needed for a safe experience. It is definitely heart-pounding thrill that even teens can experience.
Carnival cruise lines focus more on affordable pricing, while Royal Caribbean is usually much more expensive--ideally for the same vacation. Sure the RC boats have a little more luxury but if you are new to cruises Carnival has everything you need to make you experience just as enjoyable. The difference between the two from a luxury standpoint isn’t great enough to justify the price, similar to the differences between a 5 star hotel vs. a 4 star establishment. Carnival also has more inclusive restaurants versus RC which usually requires an extra dime for name-brand eaterys.
2) Party Atmosphere:
Carnival definitely promotes a more party driven experience than Royal Caribbean, so adults are likely to have a better time on Carnival.Carnival puts a larger emphasis on the nightlife aspect of the boat, providing more deck parties and comedy show experiences. Royal Caribbean is more geared towards the family vacation crowd but does provide night time options. Unfortunately for them their comedy shows for one fall flat compared to Carnival. The latter having custom stages and comedy rooms built for their experienced comedians. RC does provide great teen parties for the teenagers in your life, something that Carnival rarely provides.
1) Customer Service:
Workers at Royal Caribbean are wonderful, polite, and respectful but still not on the level of Carnival. RC will do everything that you need them to but their team is usually very bland and boring. Carnival’s team will go out the way to put a smile on your face. They learn your first name within five minutes of meeting you(greeting you in that excited manner the entire trip), ensure that you have a mint chocolate and animal-shaped towels waiting for you when you return to your room. Their vibe and attitude is just a step above the rest, add that with the trips cheaper price and party-vibe Carnival has to be your move.
This item is a must-have for most cruise cabins which are known for having limited plugs--often just two. This surge protector will allow you and your cabin-mates to charge several devices at once. The plug has three outlets available along with 2 USB ports, allowing you charge up to FIVE devices. This is a necessity to charge your phones, cameras, and plethora of other travel gear.
2) Waterproof Phone Case ($10-$30):
One of the things that makes a cruise worthwhile is the water activities and there is plenty to get involved in. This water case won’t only protect your phone but it will allow you to USE your phone underwater--underwater pictures are possible with one of these cases. You can find one that specifically fits your phone and you take it anywhere, on the beach, in the hot tub, and heck even while you swim with the dolphins. Cases come with a secure and sturdy neck strap so you won’t have to worry about losing it.
