Sub-Zero clearly doesn’t belong to the DC Universe and having him in the game wasn’t the most popular move--nevertheless his design is slowly but surely growing on audiences. This version of Sub-Zero looks very intimidating and looks like a character that could truly go toe to toe with the DC universe. The icy sleeves and arm guards are an awesome touch and the character’s gear will likely be something special. Overall, the design looks sharp and helps promote the powerful and crisp graphics the game has become known for.
2) Ice Weapons:
Injustice 2 is known for the unique character combos and special abilities, and the game takes Sub-Zero to the next level. His powers have been increased and amped up for the DC Universe and it is awesome. Sub-Zero in this game has an array of swords and daggers made of ice, giving him range and versatility as a character. Injustice 2's swordplay has been superb already with the Robin character and now with Sub-Zero they add more swordsmanship to the roster. Sub-Zero’s ice sledge hammer is also a nice touch to the game play as well.
1) Super move:
When Mortal Kombat characters are in games that are Rated Teen their moves always feel like they're missing something. Sub-Zero moves do have this feeling because of what audiences are accustomed to seeing--a more gory and satisfying finish. Still, Injustice 2 does its best to make the move appealing, using Sub-Zero’s skill set very well. The smoothness of the move makes it very cool (pun intended) and allows him to showcase all his skills in one cold sweep. The move could have been intensified with a little blood here and there but audiences for the most part will still enjoy it.
