3) 60 Win Team:
  • The RUMOR is that Aldridge is unhappy with the San Antonio Spurs and IF this is true Aldridge is making a grave mistake trying to leave. He came to the Spurs to win championships and the Spurs are giving him a shot at that. The team they constructed the past two seasons have reached 60 wins and will contend for years to come. If he wants a larger role in the offense, then he missed his opportunity to do so in the Western Conference Finals after Leonard went out with an ankle injury. He came up short and proved NOT to be a franchise player but a support player. The Spurs are still his best bet at a title.

2) Kawhi Leonard:
  • Leonard is on the verge of becoming the best player in the league and he is still well in his prime. Aldridge playing with Leonard will make the game so much easier and elevate his game as well. He can’t see the sacrifice on offense as a deterrent because Leonard is clearly the better player. Also it is rare to come across a player like Leonard that is absent of ego and is willing to do anything to win championships. If Aldridge goes elsewhere he may run into a star that is more selfish and less likely to share the spotlight with him.

1) Spurs Rest-System:
  • Thanks to Coach Popovich the Spurs have become experts at extending careers because they aren’t afraid to rest players during the long regular season. Players like Manu Ginobili and even Tim Duncan when he still played enjoyed a career boost in their older years because the Spurs strictly monitored them. If Aldridge goes to another team, to be the man, the team may wear his body out and shorten his career overall. San Antonio is still the best place for the big man.
