The TNT crew of Ernie, Kenny, Charles and Shaq is just pure fun to watch. The show’s chemistry and banter is consistently hilarious, so having this crew responsible for delivering the winners of the league most popular awards only seems right. Audiences can instantly hear the crew’s take on award winners and instantly debate if the press voted for the right player. This will particularly be interesting when the Most Valuable Player award is handed out this year.
2) New Awards:
There are several players having career years in the NBA and sometimes players who deserve a little credit don’t get the media attention they deserve. So some new awards might be what the league needs to spread the love a little bit, players like Damian Lillard and John Wall who both deserve some recognition but are often overlooked.
1) One-Time Announcement:
It will be interesting and rather useful for all the best awards like “Rookie of the Year”, “Defensive Player of the Year”, and “Most Valuable Player” to be announced at the same time. The middle of the day announcements aren’t the best marketing tools for the NBA and have gotten a little boring as well. This show allows for a little fun and showmanship to be exhibited versus the same old formula being repeated.
