Why the Netflix Punisher Trailer Is Awesome

3) Family Flashbacks:

• The Punisher would not be the man he is today without the death of his family, so we are excited to see that his solo show will take time to dissect this part of his backstory. The trailer showcased some very touching moments; these moments being abruptly and violently put to an end. This visual imagery captured the tone of character flawlessly and immediately let audiences know they're in for an emotional roller coaster.

2) Karen Page:

• Her role in Daredevil Season Two was epic and her relationship with Frank Castle/Punisher was one of the highlights. She believed in him more than any other character on the show, her personal investment into Castle made for good television. So we are thrilled to see that she will be back, hopefully in a major way, helping Castle solve another mystery. Also with her relationship with Matt Murdock/Daredevil on ice, she may be available romantically.

1) Gunplay:

• Weaponry is a big part of who the Punisher is and we as fans want to see upgrades--massive upgrades. Castle showed in Season Two of Daredevil that he can throw down hand to hand with the best of them, but it's something incredibly cool about how he handles multiple firearms. And by the looks of the trailer he is going to need all the ammo he can get to take down his latest threat. A threat that he has no qualms about taking out, like the voice-over in trailer said he plans to “kill them all”.
